Background: Minato was born to a loving set of parents. They doted upon their son, trained him well and fought for him with their lives. So much was their love, that he strove to be perfection in honor of them. Going to school he excelled in many subjects, he was a genius. At the age of 10 he graduated the gennin academy. Still striving for perfection he was granted the tutelage of Jiraiya, one of the greatest ninjas of their time. Jiraiya was taught under the great Sarutobi, Hokage of the village at the time. Thrilled with this new experience he began to work even harder. Much to his dismay, Jiraiya lacked much in being the perfect sensei. He was always late, obnoxious, perverted and far too selfish to truly be a great teacher like Sarutobi. Nevertheless, Minato learned all that he could from Jiraiya. A few things were to the dismay/pleasure of nearby kunoichi, just so he could bribe his sensei into teaching him more. Beginning to understand how the real world worked; Minato began his tasks of creating powerful jutsus that would end battles quickly and effectively. This also provided a double effect of bribery on Jiraiya's part. His sensei could now have bragging rights to the other two sannin. Even if Tsunade thought Minato stubborn, too passionate, too driven, and boring with his sage-like advice and military explanations. Learning under the three greatest ninjas of all time, the three sannins, Minato could not have asked for a better rounded education. Soon he grew to be an great fear to his enemies as chuunin, and even greater fear as jounin. During his time as a ninja, Minato was part of many battles. So feared was he by the enemy that Hokages of the other villages released a 'flee-on-sight' order if Minato was ever spotted on the field of battle. These orders were probably from his jutsus that he created over his years. One of them that brought the greatest fear was probably his Hiraishin no Jutsu or Flying Thunder God technique. This technique allowed him to transport his body from place to place so quickly that not even the Sharingan or Byakuugan could follow. Konoha was victorious in their war because of this technique. Also Minato created the Rasengan, which took him three years to develop. Before his death he still did not have this technique where he wanted it to be. Minato was also the only one to have full, complete and utter control of Gamabunta when he summoned him. As a jounin, Minato was given the privilege of teaching teams of gennin and chunnin. Kakashi was his first student. Learning quickly that he may have spent far too much time with Jiraiya, Kakashi was a challenge to him. A genius in every sense of the word, the boy challenged him worse than enemies and far more than friends. Pride and hope filled him when he laid eyes upon Kakashi, the son of the White Fang. Minato taught him everything he knew, even if the boy was too sullen and grown up for his own good. Soon he had himself a team, Rin, Obito and of course Kakashi. The other two showed much promise, but not as much as Kakashi. Still, Minato taught them everything he could possibly teach them in the times they had together. Giving them as many missions as possible to lead them into becoming the best ninjas they could be. Perhaps it was his hope, his drive, that caused them to die. First was Obito. Minato had put Kakashi in charge as he took the chance to get his own hands dirty in a nearby battlefield instead of keeping an eye on his students. Perhaps it was the first mistake, the second was probably allowing Kakashi to have far too much pride to ask for help. Minato thought them safe, capable of handling the situation with some difficulty. They should've gotten through it in his eyes. Second, Rin became missing. Minato saw the effects of such things upon Kakashi, even if he tried not to show his emotions to the boy. After all, ninjas were supposed to be emotionless killing machines. Minato delved even more into trying to save every one he could. Konoha and her ninjas were precious to him, more precious to him than his own life. The saving grace of Konoha and Minato, during the Kyuubi attack was the last of Minato's created jutsus. This is the Shiki Fujin or the Dead Demon Consuming Seal. This is what placed the Yang half of the Kyuubi's chakra within his son using the combination of the Eight-trigrams Sealing and Four-symbols seal allowing Naruto to have access to this chakra. The Yin chakra was sealed with the Dead Demon technique, rendering it inaccessible to Naruto because it is with Minato. Personality: Driven to the point of being pushy and maddening, Minato is anything but a weak wind. He is a force to be reckoned with on any level. Strong, agile and able to think quickly on his feet, he is the image that all nin fear and respect. Minato knows he is in control and has to be in control at all times. He is proud, headstrong, stubborn to a fault and full of sage-like advice when the chance is given to him. Often he is smiling, for he loves to smile. He feels that people should do so more often as it brightens the darkest days. Even though he smiles foolishly, he is anything but. Those bright blue eyes of his calculate and many plans of attack are formed within seconds behind them. Conniving and merciless are his middle names. Loving and caring for anything of Konoha is his blood. Appearance: The first thing that most people notice is the bright blonde hair, the second is probably the brighter blue eyes. Both hold an unknown appeal to the masses. Another thing one might notice is the smile, though it may reach the eyes there always seems to be something missing from it or something a little off. The smile is always warm and friendly, it may appear calculating and maniacal one minute with the next minute having it carefree or reassuring. Most of the time he wears a long white coat with red flames ebbing at the end. Under this is the normal jounin vest, the uniform pants and the uniform sandals. His haitai is upon his brow, as it should be.
